10 Things You Should Do as a Woman

1) Ever notice how when you look like a million bucks, you feel like a million bucks? Of course, there are those days when pajamas are the only thing on the agenda, and yes, I reserve one weekend day for that glorious fashion statement.

Always put in a little effort for yourself. Be ready to hit the town at a moment's notice. Even if you're a stay-at-home mom or wife, let's face it, we all love seeing our partners looking their best, so why not return the favor? Plus, it’s a confidence booster. Look snazzy, feel snazzy!

2) Drink water like it’s going out of style! I often feel like a deflated balloon with low energy, but guzzling water is my secret weapon.

3) Keep your daily routine simple to maintain a clean and cozy home. Make your bed before you dash out the door. Wash dishes after meals. Do these little things daily, and you won’t run away screaming from a messy house, plus you’ll be ready for surprise guests without a mountain of dishes or a bed that looks like a tornado hit it.

4) Cook for your family. It’s the perfect excuse to gather around the table and catch up. These days, everyone’s glued to the TV, barely talking. Try to keep some family traditions alive instead of letting everyone drift off like TV zombies.

5) Take pride in your upkeep. YES! You need maintenance too. Make sure your nails look fab, not like you’ve been clawing your way out of a cave. Keep those legs smooth; you’d be amazed at how many people notice these things, and first impressions are everything!

6) Be loving and gentle. Remember, you’re a woman, and women are supposed to be ladies. Before you roll your eyes, there are times to kick back with a cold beer or go camping, doing things "ladies" don’t usually do. But I’m talking about how you carry yourself. Aim to be elegant and graceful. We’re made soft for a reason: to nurture and be the rock or pillar for our family.

7) Get moving! This circles back to my first point. It helps you look and feel amazing and is a fantastic stress buster that keeps your mind as clear as a bell.

8) Got something to do? Just do it! Don’t procrastinate! Laziness is never in vogue. Sure, you can chill, but chilling and being lazy are worlds apart. Nobody wants to see a lazy lady.

9) Have a hobby. Whatever floats your boat, it should be your own thing. With family and friends, we do a lot with the kids and family, but not just for ourselves. For me, it’s my blog and recipes. It keeps me busy and happy because it’s all about me. Find your personal hobby.

10) Always keep a cooked meal in the freezer. Sometimes life gets hectic, and you need to dash out. In those moments, you can relax knowing dinner is sorted. No one has to wait for you to whip up a meal or go out for dinner. No drama, just peace of mind.

These are the tips I try to live by, as it’s our mission to make sure our family is well taken care of. I hope these tips help you build the foundation for a better you.
